The WheelEasy Foundation provides services for Australians in wheelchairs or who have physical disabilities as well as their families. Most of today's wayfinding applications in only provide indication of handicap access at a particular location. However, this information is often not enough. Terrain, incline and specific locations of handicap entries are critical information necessary for those in wheelchairs to properly prepare for and assess the feasibility of their visit.
WheelEasy asked Praxis to create a platform for wheelchair users, physically impaired, and their families to share information about destinations across Sydney.

Accessibilty at a Glance
Place Ratings
Clickable icons allow users to submit a rating for three categories: Car Spaces, Terrain, Toilets, Ramps and Lifts.
Average ratings determine the default color of the icons.
Desinging Multiple Views
Because anyone can upload information to WheelEasy, it was critical that a moderator view be incorporated into the designs. Moderators can choose accept or reject users submissions (Photos, comments, and flagged places) to ensure information on WheelEasy is relevant and accurate. After testing and reviewing with a potential moderator, we ultimately removed the member capacity to edit place descriptions in favor of member reviews.
Incentivizing Users
Rewards
Users can win prizes using award points earned from the number of places they have added, ranked, or reviewed. Users can check their points through their profile and see what awards they are eligible for.
Creating a Prototype
Using Sketch and InVision I created several protoypes to refine user flows and troubshoot usability.
